Final installation test

Performing the test

The final installation test is the last step before certification of a given installation. An accredited test institute is brought in to assess the system with a series of tests designed to replicate match situations and goal-line incidents. The tests are listed in the testing manual. The test will typically take one day during which match conditions are required and no other activities can take place on the pitch.

Basis for certification

If the system passes the final installation test, it will have shown that it is accurate (within the required tolerances), and functional. As a result, the system will then be certified for one year after which it will need to be tested again to ensure it is still working to the same standard.
